What it does for you

Location data next to the rental record

Where, and doing what

Vehicle status, location and live events, so the fleet team can answer “where is the car?” without phoning the customer.

Trips, stops and distance

Trips, stops, mileage and odometer readings support returns, maintenance planning and kilometre checks.

Geofences that matter

Geofences and geofence visits show when cars enter or leave the areas you care about, such as your branches or cross-border points.

Share a temporary link

Where the provider supports it, generate a temporary tracking link instead of sharing account access.

How it works

Getting connected

  1. Pilot GPS account

Your business holds the Pilot GPS account and devices installed in the vehicles.

  2. Authorise the connection

Your VROOM administrator configures the authorised connection. Credentials stay on the server.

  3. Match vehicles

Tracked units are matched to vehicles in your fleet.

  4. Track from the fleet menu

Fleet › GPS Tracking shows the data the provider returns for each car.

Questions

GPS Fleet Tracking: common questions

Something else? Ask our team or read the Help Center.

Do I need new trackers?

Tracking works with vehicles fitted with devices on your Pilot GPS account. Hardware and installation are arranged with the provider.

Can I use another GPS provider?

Pilot GPS is the supported provider today. Other providers would need to be scoped as custom work.
