Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 September 2026
1. Scope
This policy explains how Lanevo handles personal data collected through the website and the application. It covers both data about you as an account holder and, at a high level, how we process the Customer Data your business enters into the Service on behalf of your own customers.
2. Data we collect directly from you
- Account information: name, work email, company name, and password (stored using standard hashing, never in plain text).
- Billing information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and device/browser information, collected to improve the Service and diagnose problems.
- Communications: messages sent through contact, demo, or trial signup forms.
3. Customer Data you enter into the Service
As a controller of your own customers’ data, your Company may enter personal data about your renters and staff into the Service (names, contact details, licence or ID information, booking history). We process this data as a processor, on your instructions, as described in a Data processing agreement available on request.
4. How we use data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, and material changes to the Service.
- To respond to support requests and enquiries.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
5. Sharing and sub-processors
We share data with a limited number of service providers necessary to run the Service — for example, cloud hosting, payment processing, and, where you enable it, WhatsApp’s official Cloud API for the shared inbox feature. We do not sell personal data.
6. Data retention
Account and Customer Data is retained for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period after termination to allow data export, after which it is deleted or anonymised, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Requests can be made through the Contact page.
8. International transfers
Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Cookies
The website uses a small number of cookies, described in the Cookie policy.
10. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your data, can be sent through the Contact page.
